Our Story
Discover the heart of Can-I-Play, Geelong's community sports program for men 35+. Learn about our journey, our mission, and the core values that drive us. We're building a healthier, more connected Geelong, one game at a time.

The 'Can I Play?' Moment
Can-I-Play started with a simple, unforgettable moment. While out for a run, I watched a casual lunchtime soccer game. I jumped in, took a shot (a rainbow kick, no less!), and then asked, "Can I play?"
That moment, twenty-two years ago, sparked an idea: casual, welcoming games should be easily accessible. Can-I-Play is now a platform for Geelong men 35+ to easily find, organise, and participate in casual sports. No commitments, no clubs, just easy game postings and friendly play.
Our focus:
- Accessibility: Quick posts and easy join-in
- Community: Connecting neighbours and friends
- Consistency: Flexible, friendly meetups
- Well-being: Sport that’s joyful and sustainable
Thanks to Geelong’s vibrant spirit and everyone involved. If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to play, but I don’t know who’s around,” this is for you. Welcome to Can-I-Play—where "Can I play?" is an everyday invitation.
